Green Onyx

Green Onyx (also spelled Onix) is a semi precious gemstone admired for its rich green color. It is often dyed chalcedony, though in some cases it can also be a natural calcium carbonate mineral. This stone is widely used in jewelry, decorative items and sculptures, including famous works by artists like Ferdinand Preiss. Because of its translucent nature, Green Onyx is also used in tiles for countertops and wall panels. In crystal healing, it is linked with strength, willpower and discipline. It is often confused with jade or emerald, and term “green onyx” is sometimes used simply to describe a popular green paint shade as well
