Yellow Topaz

Yellow topaz is a strong and shiny gemstone that comes in warm yellow to golden orange shades. It is often mixed up with citrine but real topaz is harder, with a Mohs hardness of 8. Yellow topaz is birthstone for November and is linked with happiness, confidence and prosperity. Some rare types, like Imperial Topaz, have beautiful pinkish orange tones. Many yellow stones sold in market are treated and some are actually citrine so identifying real yellow topaz is important.
